This 40-hectare vineyard lies just a few kilometres to the north-west of San Rafael in full view of the Andes mountains. It has recently been established to combine traditional local techniques with certain modern viticultural practices in order to produce the very best wine possible. It relies on traditional flood irrigation to sustain the cabernet and syrah vines, which are all well protected by hail netting as a barrier to the single biggest threat to the industry in the region. The vines, though just 3 to 5 years old, are already producing excellent wines that will only get better. .
