Delivery Times and options – non-personalised wines

We will normally deliver non-personalised wines within ten days of your order (or ten days from your payment clearing for cheque payments). We deliver from Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.30pm. We will also deliver on Saturday mornings between 8am and 12 noon, although this will incur a surcharge of £15 per consignment. Please call us to arrange a Saturday delivery.

To ensure security of delivery, our standard delivery service needs to be signed for. Proof of ID will be required when delivery not to home address.

If you are not there when we attempt to deliver, the driver will try again on the following working day. If this fails, you will have to replace the delivery order and pay a new delivery fee. If you are think that you will be out when delivery is due, please call us to arrange for delivery on a particular day.

Alternatively, if you would prefer, you can give us instructions to leave the wine in a safe place outside your house if you are not in. We are happy to do this, but cannot take responsibility for theft or damage once the wine has been left there.

If we have not attempted to deliver your wine within ten working days of your payment clearing, then we will refund the delivery charge with Private Vines gift vouchers to offset against your next order.

Delivery Times and options – personalised wines

For personalised wines, once the wine has arrived at our warehouse, usually towards the latter part of the year, we will contact you to arrange a delivery as per the delivery of our non-personalised wines.

Charges

There is a charge of £8.99 per dozen bottles or part thereof on orders fewer than 5 cases for anywhere in the UK mainland. For deliveries to Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Isles of Scilly, and the Scottish Islands please contact us for delivery prices.

For orders equal to, or greater than 5 cases, please contact us to discuss delivery prices and arrangements.

Saturday morning deliveries will incur a surcharge of £15 per consignment.

You will be advised of these charges on the final purchase screen and they will be re-confirmed on the order confirmation.
